Library Cards

We encourage you to consider the many advantages of obtaining a library card, which can provide access to a wealth of educational resources and existing programs and events!

Exeter Residents

  • Library card is FREE

  • Visit the library with proof of residency (licence, ID, lease, mail)

  • All residents of Exeter can use the Interlibrary Loan service.

Non-Residents who own property in Exeter and pay taxes

  • Library card is FREE

  • Need proof you own real estate in Exeter (copy of tax records for property, this includes address of the property)

  • Business owners encouraged

Non-Residents

  • A yearly fee of $75 per family to be members of the library (residents pay through their taxes)

  • provide ID with address on it.

  • Online is not available for Non-Resident

  • If you work in Exeter and live in another town, you can get a card for free.

Students

  • Library card is FREE

  • It is good for the school year 2023-2024

  • Show your school ID when you pick up your physical card.  The card is for any SAU 16 school .

To register, visit us in person! Library card applications cannot be submitted online.

  1. Bring your documents. Please bring a valid form of proof of your current address (such as a utility bill, lease agreement, other official mail, car registration, or valid ID).

  2. Complete registration form. Make sure the boxes are both checked and the form is signed and dated.

  3. Complete the process at the library. Our staff will guide you through the process and ensure you have everything you need to start enjoying your library privileges.
